It tells the story of Cuba when Christopher Columbus touched Cuban land express that this was the most beautiful land that human eyes had seen. And he said navigator, who before coming to these lands had traveled halfway across the world was not wrong.
Is, without doubt, Havana is a charming, magical and captivating city. That expressed when this June inaugurated monument credited as the “Wonder City”.
As stated on several occasions, on December 7, 2014 Havana earned the title of being one of the 7 Modern Wonders Cities, thanks to hundreds of millions of votes.
The survey was conducted by the Swiss Foundation New 7 Wonders, and in that vote were eliminated other candidate’s cities like Barcelona, Quito and City Mexico. The Havana was selected next to Beirut, Doha, La Paz, Durban, Vigan and Kuala Lumpur.
A year and a half later-last 7 June- inaugurated in Havana, on the esplanade of the Castillo de San Salvador de La Punta, the monument with the commemorative plaque so credited.
