At the corner of 54th and 25th Streets, next to of Marti Park in Cienfuegos, we find this amazing mansion. It is almost impossible to accept that it is a construction of the late nineteenth century and not much older. However, it is true; the Ferrer Palace is a construction of the year 1892, remodeled in 1918 by the Catalan trader Jose Ferrer.

This beautiful building has an eclectic and neo rococo style. It comprises two floors, the ground floor does not have ornaments, the upper floor has ornamentation in marbles, and it is decorated with high artistic quality and good taste.

The famous Italian tenor, Enrico Caruso, hosted there in 1920, during his stay in the city to act in the Tomás Terry Theater.

After the triumph of the Cuban Revolution, the upper floor was the House of Culture of the locality, until the deterioration forced to close. At present, we can appreciate the process of reconstruction in order to renovate the mansion.

Despite the restoration process, the institution continues to promote the tours throughout the house. The visitor can appreciate the interior beauty of this property. From the gazebo on the roof, you can look at the city. This gazebo in the shape of a pergola, located in the southeast corner of the house, allows seeing the whole area of the port and the bay. From here, you can admire the most beautiful views of the city and you can take impressive videos and panoramic photos.

The closest we can see from the height is the whole area of Marti Park, with its Arc de Triumph, its gazebo and the monument to José Marti. In the distance, we see the imposing Government Palace and on the trees of the park stand out the domes of the Cathedral. All a spectacle for the eyes and for our lenses.
