Vinales is located at north of province Pinar del Río, the most occidental province in Cuba. It is one of the 14 municipalities at this province and it has 741 km2 extension. The town of Viñales conserves the traditional aspect of the houses of red tiles as well as some of the inherited features from aboriginal, slaves and rural people. The mogotes, the flora and the fauna are main natural wealth of this area. Surroundings there are also: caverns, underground rivers and medicinal waters. The area is famous for the cultivation and production of tobacco using traditional methods. Thanks to all these charms, the tourism has become one of the main economic activities of the area. In the town there area lot of casas particulares for rent and other particular business as bars, restaurants and stores of Cuban craft. Vinales offers a variety of entertainments including tour by Vinales Valley, horse riding and mountain climbing, among others. The visitors will be charmed with the beauty of the area and the good treatment of the inhabitants of this town.
