One of the representative spaces of the Havana city, which allows direct contact with Cuban cinema of all times, is the Yara Cinema.

This institution of the first half of the last century, is located in the downtown Vedado Habanero and is one of the main leisure options for the capitals and visitors from all over the world.

It has been the scene of live performances by leading figures from theatre, cinema and television.

The Yara Cinema stands out for its emblematic red colour, in which the public can see the name and characteristics of the film or show that will be shown on the big screen.

Inside, there is an exhibition room, which allows you to discover the different personalities of the filmography of the island, besides offering allegorical articles for sale to films such as discs, posters or magazines.

The Yara has a capacity of 1500 seats, with air-conditioned rooms to enjoy the premiere of the most important domestic and foreign exhibits.

Without a doubt, it is one of the most important film festivals in the country, a condition that makes it a permanent venue for the International Festival of New Latin American Cinema every December.

Around you can find Coppelia ice cream, Radio and Television Cuban Institute (ICRT) and Havana Libre hotel.
